actually can la. cookies and dry baked items can keep. there is not much water content. i bake my chinese new year goodies (sugee, pineapple balls and peanut cookie) and have kept for 1.5 months now in air tight container. sugar is also a form of preservatives. if preservatives is added to my baked goods then can last more than 2 months surely. I also read before on a SHC facebook page that someone cooked her pineapple jam for 4 hours and it still has not turned bad in a few months! just my comment.

Hello Sierra, honest opinions are always best! I really love the pineapple rolls though.. I didn't find them anywhere doughy. Mine were melt-in-the-mouth! I'm not sure if it's the influx of orders that the texture is different, but I'll send your feedback over to them for sure so they can look into it and improve :) You can also check out The Wooden Spoon (beach road, tel: 6297 8839) for their pineapple tarts, although I don't know if they still have walk-in supply available. I hope you find the pineapple tarts that wow your taste buds, and happy Chinese New Year in advance!

Hi, they said so themselves, when asked how long the Chinese New Year goodies can be kept. I went there after stumbling across your post in my search for the best pineapple tarts and spicy dried shrimp rolls, as I have been away for 3 years, and really missed these.

I had spent about $80, and bought the pineapple rolls based on your recommendation, but was overall, rather disappointed. To be honest, I may have set my expectations too high. The pineapple rolls, although not too sweet, are not that fantastic. I have tasted better, and these do not even make it into the top three. The buttery fragrance is not as distinctive, and the texture in the mouth is more doughy than crumbly, as my mum also noted.

The spicy dried shrimp rolls are average, and frankly, don't look like your pictures (mine are kind of oily and messy). The redeeming item was the chicken floss samosa. I have not tried these before and they tasted pretty good.

This is just my honest opinion. :) I was also a little puzzled about the no preservatives remark that was made. Anyway, my quest continues...

Hi Sierra, maybe I'm not that observant.. but let me know where you read that they can be stored up to 2 months? I can help clarify with them for you since I'm not a baking expert.
